24hr Dialer Derby

What is it?

The Dialer Derby is an initiative designed to instil some fun into our daily tasks while providing each of our teams a chance to push boundaries, surpass expectations, and harness the power of communication as we come together to beat our average call rate records. And while we’re at it, let’s go big and aim for some new Personal Bests too! 

From the beginning of your day locally, on April 25th (or April 24th for our Aussie Teammates!), the clock starts ticking for a heart-pounding 24-hour race to the top as teammates hit the phones to beat their regional record by a minimum of 20%! It's a challenge like never before, and every single one of you has a part to play in making it a success.

what are the prizes?

Regional Prize: At the end of the 24-hour sprint, the team/region that collectively accumulated the highest number of minutes above their record (by a minimum of 20%), will claim the coveted title and a prize fit for champions in the form of either a group celebration or individual reward dependent on their work location.
Personal Prize: There's glory to be had for individuals too! The rep who clocks up the highest total minutes overall will be crowned our Ring Master and receive $150 in Groupon Bucks (or equivalent in local currency).

How do we play?

Terms & Conditions

• The Dialer Derby competition is open to Local, Travel and National representatives located in the following regions: UK, US, IE, FR, BE, NL, DE, ES, PL, UAE, and AU. 

• Call rates will be measured in minutes for all competing teams, except for the UAE, where they will be measured as per their normal performance metric (DMC).

• Average call rate targets are based on the lowest 4 weeks' worth of actual call time in 2024

• Results for the Dialer Derby will be tracked exclusively through calls made using the official phone systems ie Natterbox, and SalesLoft, 

• Only calls logged via the official phone systems during the competition period will be considered for calculation purposes.

• It is the teammate's responsibility to ensure their systems are set up correctly to participate. Any errors should be reported and resolved before the competition begins in order to participate.

• Groupon Bucks rewards for the Dialer Derby will be provided in the local currency of the respective region.

• The overall regional prize will be determined based on the rep locations, i.e. office-based group reward vs remote individual reward.

• Prizes are awarded at Groupon’s discretion and can be withdrawn at any time.

• To be eligible for consideration in the competition, teams must achieve a minimum of 20% beyond their group's average call rate record.

• Winners will be determined based on the team/region with the highest cumulative number of minutes accrued during the competition period, exceeding the minimum requirement of 20% extra minutes.

• Call rates will be measured collectively in the following groups; 

  • Local - NA by region, INTL by country

  • Travel - NA vs INTL

  • National - NA vs INTL

• Participants must adhere to all local laws and regulations, and Groupon company guidelines regarding telecommunications and data privacy during the Dialer Derby competition.

• Any attempt to manipulate call data or engage in fraudulent activity will result in immediate disqualification from the competition and internal investigation.

• Groupon’s decisions regarding any aspect of the Dialer Derby, including eligibility, results, and rewards, are final and binding.

• Groupon reserves the right to modify or amend these terms and conditions at any time, with or without prior notice.

• By participating in the Dialer Derby, participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
