PACE framework
The aim of the PACE Framework is to bring total ownership and cross-team cooperation in Groupon, for both Business as Usual (BAU) Areas and Projects. It is a framework describing roles, responsibilities and expectations on cooperation between P (Product), A (Analytics), C (Commercial), E (Engineering) and a PM (Program Manager).

Basic Roles & responsibilities
Product Owner (P)
Is a person who understands the business and the technical side, responsible for closing the tech and business gap between C and E by facilitating the discussion.
Helps C with execution - strategy, prioritization and understanding the tech side
Help E with understanding the business and customer needs to find the appropriate technological solution
Translate requirements from C into language and understanding of E (wireframes, designs, diagrams)
Analytical Owner (A)
Is a person responsible for supporting commercial owners, acting independently to drive positive change within the company, challenging the C when needed.
Have a deep analytical understanding of BAU Area/Project
Guarantee and confirm the data and reports used by the PACE team are correct
Proactive delivery of ideas and insights to improve the results
May be from Revenue Management / Commercial Finance / Core BI / Other
Commercial Owner (C)
Is the ultimate owner of a BAU/Project Area. C is accountable for the planning, execution, delivery and reporting - both revenue and cost side.
Engineering Owner (E)
Is a person responsible for the technical side of both BAU Areas and Projects.
E needs to understand business goals and customer aspects to design a solution that will lead to desired commercial outputs
E needs to work with C and P on prioritization, providing inputs for the cost of each feature that is required to be delivered
Program Manager (PM)
Is a person responsible for:
Preparing the project charter (scope, timeline, deliverables) based on the inputs from the PACE team and manages end to end delivery of the project
Be in detail to resurface key decisions that need to be taken during each week by the PACE team
Maintain the communication between parties run weekly steering meetings and write weekly updates
