PACE framework

The aim of the PACE Framework is to bring total ownership and cross-team cooperation in Groupon, for both Business as Usual (BAU) Areas and Projects. It is a framework describing roles, responsibilities and expectations on cooperation between P (Product), A (Analytics), C (Commercial), E (Engineering) and a PM (Program Manager).

Basic Roles & responsibilities

Product Owner (P)

Is a person who understands the business and the technical side, responsible for closing the tech and business gap between C and E by facilitating the discussion.

Analytical Owner (A)

Is a person responsible for supporting commercial owners, acting independently to drive positive change within the company, challenging the C when needed.

Commercial Owner (C)

Is the ultimate owner of a BAU/Project Area. C is accountable for the planning, execution, delivery and reporting - both revenue and cost side.

Engineering Owner (E)

Is a person responsible for the technical side of both BAU Areas and Projects.
