WHO ARE WE?

The GLD Training Delivery team plays a crucial role in facilitating effective learning experiences at Groupon. Our primary responsibility is to deliver programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees. We are responsible for conducting comprehensive training sessions for new hires, facilitating cross-training initiatives, and moderating continuing education programs. The team utilizes various delivery methods such as classroom training, virtual sessions, e-learning modules, and workshops to cater to diverse learning preferences and business needs.

Team Mission

The mission of the Training Delivery team is to provide high-quality training and development opportunities that empower individuals to acquire and enhance their knowledge, skills and abilities. We strive to empower our People so they can do what is right, the first time. By fulfilling our mission, the team contributes to the overall success of the organization by fostering a culture of continuous improvement and supporting the development of a skilled and capable workforce.

Organization Structure

The Training Delivery team operates within a diverse organizational structure that spans three countries, encompassing trainers of various nationalities. This structure allows for a global perspective and the incorporation of diverse perspectives and experiences in the training programs. The team is managed by Sharmila Sasikumar based in Chennai, India. 

We closely cooperate with the other side of the GLD family - Instructional Designers. Tanuja Ghosh Boral is the Director of both GLD-TD and GLD-ID.

Satisfaction surveys

After training completion, participants receive a satisfaction survey. Why do we do it?

The Training Delivery team collects feedback via satisfaction service to assess the effectiveness and quality of their training programs. These surveys serve as a valuable tool for gathering insights and opinions from participants, allowing the team to evaluate their performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions. By soliciting feedback through satisfaction surveys, the team can engage participant satisfaction levels, measure the relevance and clarity of the training content, and assess the overall learning experience. 

Additionally, satisfaction surveys provide participants with an opportunity to voice their opinions, suggestions, and concerns, ensuring their perspectives are considered in future training endeavors. 

Ultimately, the collection of feedback through satisfaction surveys helps the Training Delivery team continuously improve their training programs and ensure they align with the needs and expectations of the participants.
