When assigning tasks to teammates, be sure
to follow these important communication Do's & Don'ts
Dos:
Provide Task descriptions
provide context (why)
Describe the problem (what)
Define the exact steps (how)
Be receptive to and responsible for follow up questions
Frequently review Asana tasks of your direct reports & scale best practices across your teams
Block out time in your calendars daily to review your Asana tasks/projects
Dont's:
Don’t overwhelm teammates with an unnecessary # of tasks
[1 topic = 1 tasks = multiple subtasks]Don’t give aggressive deadlines without the assignee team’s option to adjust them
Minimize Destructive Feedback: use constructive criticism best practices to communicate with your teams and task assignees
